A cry on deaf ears?

Hi there, audience.

Ross, author of the Sky Fighters novels here. Over the last 5 years, I have been writing, copyrighting, and publishing all these novels...One right after the other. I've been creating blog posts, like this one, videos, photos, concept art, and more. I even entered (And won) a competitive writing prompt contest on a Discord Server called Storyville! After all this, you'd think I'd be feeling pretty accomplished...Right?

Well, you are dead wrong, my friends! As I discovered Create-Space after my unsuccessful crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, I thought for sure I struck pure platinum. Not silver. Not even gold...Pure platinum. Quickly, I submitted my first novel to Create-Space for publishing. And before I knew it, my first novel had officially been published! Well...It was only self-published. Yesh, there is a difference.

What, you say? You mean to tell me getting a novel self-published isn't going to help me gain an audience!? Then, by Jove! What will? As I asked myself this, I thought: "Hmm! Perhaps I ought to do more social-networking. The question is...How?" Then FB provided me an answer: "Give us money and we'll grant at least a few more likes to your page!" And so, I did. And over time, Sky Fighters gained an audience...A small audience. But at least it amounted to something...Right? I mean, in 2017, I had 5 novels published!

Oh, me of little faith. Or should I say 'little success'? As of today (October 14th, 2019), I have 6 novels published. And I've been tirelessly writing Part 7, which is slated to be published next year...Sometime. Don't ask me when yet, because I don't have the foggiest idea. All I know is this: In spite of all the writing, copyrighting, and publishing I've done, only two handfuls of my novels have been purchased. And at least 85% to 90% of those have been purchased by members of my family...Namely my loving Mom.

So, let me ask you this: Do you think I should continue writing and publishing novels? If I do, will anyone even bother to purchase any of them? If at least 5 people purchase at least one of my novels by the time Sky Fighters Part 8 has been published, then I can guarantee there'll be a 9th novel. But it'll be more of a spin-off than a continuation of the series. It'll also have a different format. Well, then? Let's hear your answers!
Yes, give us the whole series!
Nah. Take me to the kittens!

I would definitely buy and read your novels. If your novels had more kittens this would be great too Ross

I think, by the time a reader finishes the 5th, they are hooked (if they're not hooked on the first). A couple of questions: How many till the current plot comes full circle? I want to know how it ends. When does this happen? Another important consideration is WHY aren't they selling? Do people not have time to read books? Are they not interested in this type of story? Or, are they too busy with their devices?

Hi there!

While I don't know the answers to why my novels aren't selling or whether folks have time to read books or whatnot, I can tell you this: By the time Part VIII comes to an end, the current plot will come full circle. But I cannot tell you (Or anyone else) how it ends until after Sky Fighters Part VIII is fully-written and published.

Until this happens, keep reading and hang on!...
